…ClownOnPopping presents the opportunity to experience the unique sensation on board this magnificent circus, dance and theatre show. Clown On Popping plays the character of a rapper and has the casual look of the local rebel, he is 'well cool'.

Hip-hop, funk and popping are his life. Because he is too Super Cool it allows the audience to get deep into his world. Djammal is an innocent assertive clown who spreads his contagious funky street sytle through body popping, circus skills an with audience participation.

Djammal's Story

In the last decade Djammal has performed his his shows in the streets and on the stages of Europe, South America and Africa.

He began his proffesional career in London in 1996 with Artery Space, a socio-cultural performance company where he developed a number of acts combining music, dance and theatre. He partisipated in many festival in England in 1997 devising and directing a show with Monica de Miranda called Poetry of Bodies, performing at Glastonbury Festival. With the show Clowning for a Dream he performed at tribe of Doris Drumming Convention (1997), Noting Hill Carnival (1998) and Camberwell Arts Week (1999).

In Iberia he continued to work at various events 2000 and 2002, Carnaval de Almada Portugal, Beja Alternativa. In Spain he created his most recent show Clown on Popping (2003) Performing in Circus Elllebogg, Cirque de Monde (Holland), FundidiÇao progresso Noites de Internacional de PalhaÇos Anjos de Picadeiro, 2007 (Brazil).
